
Thursday, May 8, the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force invites the public to join in commemorating the 80th Anniversary of Victory in Europe (V-E) Day with Salute to Victory, a special one-day educational celebration honoring the end of World War II in Europe.
From 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., visitors of all ages (3 to 103+) can enjoy a day filled with interactive, hands-on activities designed to bring history to life. This engaging event will highlight key moments from the closing chapters of WWII, including Victory in Europe Day, Operation Chowhound and Operation Manna, and the liberation of POW camps.
