Flags for the Fallen honors the 26,000 Mighty Eighth Air Force airmen loss during WWII | Savannah Morning News

26,000 flags have been placed around the Memory Garden, one for each airman from the Mighty Eighth Air Force killed during WWII, during the opening ceremony for the Flags for the Fallen opening ceremony on Friday, May 24, 2024 at the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force.
