Experience the History
Located a short distance from Downtown Savannah, where the Eighth Air Force was activated in January 1942, the museum features over 90,000 square feet of exhibits, interactive experiences, artifacts and a collection of aviation art to engage you in the history of our nation’s most storied air force, the Mighty Eighth. Fly a mission, stroll the beautiful memorial garden, and walk beneath the wings of the museum’s restored B-17 Flying Fortress, City of Savannah.
The museum offers adult and school group tours. These tours can be self-guided or guided by our incredible museum docents. Please plan on two hours for a self-guided (on your own) tour. Docent-led tours are two hours in length.
Group tour admission per adult is $11.00; $6.00 per child. The museum requests any tour be reserved 15 days in advance. A minimum of ten persons is required to receive the group rate.
