Making a difference. That is the impact of each gift to the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force. While there are many ways to express support for the museum, all contributions advance the museum’s mission of preserving and sharing history. A young student visiting the museum on a school outing; a veteran learning about the Air Force’s history and heritage; a graduate assistant developing curatorial skills; and an Eighth Air Force descendant gaining understanding and appreciation of a father’s sense of duty and sacrifice during our nation’s time of greatest need – your support makes these learning opportunities and resources possible each and every day.
This is the essence of giving. From all of your friends at the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force, thank you.
My husband and I visited the museum in 2001 to donate my father’s artifacts. We were so taken with the museum that in 2016 we moved to Pooler in our retirement so we could be actively involved with the museum. It is so important to keep history alive and pass it on to future generations. We believe the Mighty Eighth does an amazing job at this.

Dear Mr. Young,
Thank you for teaching us about World War II. I enjoyed learning about B-17s. I loved the trip!
