The National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force is always looking for passionate volunteers for a variety of positions including:
-
- Greeter – Greet museum visitors while giving a brief introduction of the museum
- Docent – Guide visitors on student and adult tours or provide additional information at the Mission Experience, a three-part video series featuring World War II archival footage. Brief training will be required.
- Aircraft Restoration – Assist in various areas of restoration with the museum’s historic aircraft.
There are occasions where the Mighty Eighth needs volunteers with special skill sets from social media and re-enacting to carpenters and seasonal decorators. If you have a passion for history, an appreciation for the museum’s unique mission, the museum could use your help. Thank you!!
Please contact the Director of Volunteers, Heather Thies, at hthies@mightyeighth.org to inquire about volunteer opportunities.
Be sure to include your name, contact information, and the way that you can best contribute to the museum’s mission.
